This pen is raw metal copper with no coating to protect it from oxidation.

Oxidation forms a patina on the pen, which is a primary reason buyer's like raw metal copper.

We include this information here so buyer's are able to make informed choices prior to ordering.

We also include an information card in pen explaining oxidation and patina so they understand the care required post-purchase.

It is the buyer's responsibility to manage expectations out of the box to understand this natural process and elect to care for the pen as instructed.

We do not replace "wrong color" or "too much patina out of box" as issues. This is not a defect or damage. It is normal for an all-natural metal copper pen.
